LR Productions is an athlete representation and sports production company focused exclusively on gymnastics.  

LR Productions hosts over 20 gymnastic competitions each year featuring legendary Olympic and NCAA champion gymnasts; Mary Lou Retton, McKenna Kelley, Laurie Hernandez, MyKayla Skinner, Maggie Nichols, Trinity Thomas, Katelyn Ohashi & Leanne Wong.  We take great pride in creating unforgettable experiences and  memories that will last a lifetime.  

Our Founders:

Jim Lucas has a background in sports management and served as a minor league baseball announcer for 12 years. Jim and his broadcast partner Don Wardlow are featured in the National Baseball Hall of Fame as Jim and his partner Don was the first blind sportscasting duo in baseball history. On June 23, 1994 Jim and Don became the first announcing team with a blind announcer to call a Major League Baseball game.

Melissa Ruffino has over 35 years of gymnastics experience as a gymnast, coach, gym owner, judge, meet director and sports agent. She has co-owned and operated Legacy Elite Gymnastics & Fun 2B Fit Training Center in Concord, NC since 2007.

LR Meets are held in large unbiased venues , they have strong judging panels, provide great medals, and as a bonus they include a quality leotard for each gymnast. We have attended LR productions meets the last three years and I cannot say enough how amazing they are. From the moment you walk in you are always greeted and treated like you are a part of the LR production family. As a coach and owner, I want to attend meets that my gymnast will have the best experience. We have been to several meets throughout the years, but every meet put on by LR our girls are smiling, dancing in between events and just having the most incredible time. In the end we do this for the memories the kids will have and there is a huge difference in my gymnast when leaving an LR meet! We are in our second season of gymnastics and my girls look forward going to the LR Production meets! They run so smoothly, and they make sure every athlete feels important! The staff is always friendly and some of the staff remember the parents and athletes from previous meets which is so sweet! They also make sure the gymnasts have a great time after competition with dance parties after a session is completed! Meeting a former Olympic or NCAA gymnast is an added bonus that gives my gymnast the opportunity to interact with them. It's so exciting and inspirational! Can't wait for another season and being a part of these amazing meets!
